1:09 am - !!!!!!!
Hello everyone, check out the new web-site for The Ishaya Tradition:

http://www.theishayatradition.org

It's really beautiful and has alot of great things to read, even a bulliten board. Even if you're not interested in the Ishayas, I still recommend taking a look at it just for the sheer asthetic beauty of it all.

4:42 pm - Deathcab.
So I just listend to the first half of Deathcab for Cutie's 2nd album called, "We have the facts and we're voting yes". The mom of the drummer sent it to me. It's really good.

9:25 pm - Pedro...
"From what I've seen so far I can't believe my eyes,"

"you're still young and you always jump the gun."

"What makes you think that it won't grow back in a day or two?"

"You think without me you'll get on much better but you don't even know your own heart."

"Come home darling, come home quickly. Come home darling, all is forgiven so come home quickly."

"But you're still playin' for a love you'll never find outside these arms of mine."

"If you could really see then you would ask of Me."

("She knew the well was far to deep for Him to wet His lips but something told her that He spoke of so much more than all of this.")

"If you could really see then you would ask of Me."

("When He spoke she wanted to believe the things He said but who could this man be that she might never thirst again? Her heart raced, could He be the one we've waited for, the one we've waited for?")

"And it won't go away, it won't go away, it won't go away.

"Swim with me and we'll escape all the trouble of the present age, finally free."

"If this is only a test, I hope that I'm passing 'cause I'm losing steam. I still want to trust you.
Peace, be still. Peace, be still. Peace, be still. Peace, be still."

"I'll take something to believe, something with long sleeves, 'cause it's unpredictable"

"If I look up and the sky's not there is there any reason that I should be scared? When a promise is a promise, I'd know."

5:49 pm - This may be an early goodbye...
Seeing these two bands this week was a nice way to finish a really great visit to Seattle.
It's been awsome to get to see so much of my brother and Jennifer, and I'm really greatful for having the chance to meet some of his friends and spend time with them.

I love Seattle,
I love you all,

When I'm down in OR I most likely won't be on the computor much at all, so please forgive me ahead of time and don't take it personally (not like any of you (assuming there are any of you besides J&J who have me listed as a friend) really care if I read or post or not).

Love - Daniel

Oh ya, I'm leaving either Sat afternoon or Sun morning....

5:10 pm - Coldplay...
Success!!!
I saw Coldplay not only for free, but I got to sit in practacly the best seat in the house. The seat was in the section of the Paramount known as the "Louge", 3rd row off to the left. All I had to do was wear a white shirt and black pants and direct people to the proper floor to find their seats. It was easy to do and I really like the job because I enjoy connecting with people, smiling, being friendly, flirting with girls, etc. I only needed to do this before and during the opening act (a band from Ireland called "Ash" who really sucked). Then, just before the show, actually started I found myself chatting with an elderly woman who was also voulenteering; she had a connection with this guy who was in charge of supervising the "Louge", she saw him and asked him if he had any open seats (in this sold-out show). A minute later we were escorted in.
The Show was great, but suprisingly loud, my ears were ringing untill I fell asleep last night. It was really cool to see the band live. The main singer/guitar/piano player (whatever his name is) was really alive, just totally getting into the music, jumping around on stage and stuff.

Absorbed in my things
I pass the time oblivious to the Life that exists all around me.

Up all night on the computor
thought streams leading one into another until the day has come
as if my thoughts were the only ones that matter.

Absorbed in my dream of a life as if it were the only thing that matters.

My things...
My things...
My Things...

and it hurts

12:06 am - I am officially the luckiest person I know...
Today I was paid to see Deathcab for Cutie...live...for free....!!!

Here's the story:

Yesterday evening, in the midst of doing other things, I randomly decided to pick up the tellephone and findout about an unlisted Labor Ready that I recently heard about. I sluthed out their number and gave 'em a ring. They informend me that they held a contract for security at Bumpershoot this weekend and that if I showed up in black pants and a white shirt, there was a good chance they could use me. So I showed up at 6:30am, got the job, came back at 1:00pm like they asked. Then on to the show. Like an obediant little sheep I followed the right people at the right time and wound up walking into the Key Arena around 3:15pm. As I walked in, completly oblivous, I heard this familliar tune..."I loved you Guenivere"...oh!...my!...god!...Holy shit man!!...I can't believe this!! They were warming up as we walked into the main arena and took our seats to get trained on what security was supposed to do. I could hardly pay attention. Then we were assigned to our positions. I got the VIP section, the best possible position in the house; off to the right of the stage at the perfect distance so as not to get too much of an angle on it. First on stage was "The Shinns", I've never heard of them but they were actually quite good. Then the coolest part!! Michael Schorr's (the drummer) family and girl friend showed up without any passes of any kind. Aparently Michael forgot to arrange their seating and so technicaly they were out of luck. Then I stepped in (fanfair)!!! Of course I seated them. All I had to do at that point was intercept all the other security personel before they questioned them or realized that none of the eight of them had the required VIP pass hanging around their necks (they're actually quite big and really hard to miss). Once again luck and charisma didn't fail me, thank God. All went well and before the end of the show Michae's mom and grandma got my mailing address and assured me they would send me a little package of autographed photos and some music....

I got paid for this!!! Cool huh?

7:19 pm - Outch...
Sometimes life sucks, actually no, I suck...

Everything has been a lie.

It was based on flirtation, manipulation, and charm.

We're bad for eachother, not ready for eachother.

You couldn't hold back, and I didn't want you to.
I egged you on.
I'm so selfish.
I hate myself right now....

I charmed you, I wooed you, I think I fooled you,
I'm sorry 'cause ya know, I still love you.

We're perfect for eachother
if only we really wanted eachother
but we can't be that humble 'cause we're scared

tried to be enlightend, free lovin', unattached, -friends
(I'd try again if that were the only way to be near you)

I don't care (that's a lie)

My heart hurts.

I miss you....

2:34 am - aaahhhhhh!!
Hacking blood (not really but almost)
My chest is convulsing in unwanted spasoms of coughing
my throat is on fire
it hurts to swollow it hurts to BREATHE
my stomach is sore and my abs are ripped
I'll have a 24 pack by the time we reach seattle
I've gotta go to bed but I'm dreading sleep for I fear I'll wake up worse
...
I jusy took a piss
the computor waited patiently (or so I think)
what did you have anyway I didn't think I'd catch it and
how long does it take to go away???
I had a lemon and honey drink
(minus the lemons and minus the honey)
it didn't help
2:47 am I better find my bed.....

Suzanne

Suzanne takes you down to her place near the river
You can hear the boats go by
You can spend the night beside her
And you know that she's half crazy
But that's why you want to be there
And she feeds you tea and oranges
That come all the way from China
And just when you mean to tell her
That you have no love to give her
Then she gets you on her wavelength
And she lets the river answer
That you've always been her lover
And you want to travel with her
And you want to travel blind
And you know that she will trust you
For you've touched her perfect body with your mind.

And Jesus was a sailor
When he walked upon the water
And he spent a long time watching
From his lonely wooden tower
And when he knew for certain
Only drowning men could see him
He said "All men will be sailors then
Until the sea shall free them"
But he himself was broken
Long before the sky would open
Forsaken, almost human
He sank beneath your wisdom like a stone
And you want to travel with him
And you want to travel blind
And you think maybe you'll trust him
For he's touched your perfect body with his mind.

Now Suzanne takes your hand
And she leads you to the river
She is wearing rags and feathers
From Salvation Army counters
And the sun pours down like honey
On our lady of the harbour
And she shows you where to look
Among the garbage and the flowers
There are heroes in the seaweed
There are children in the morning
They are leaning out for love
And they will lean that way forever
While Suzanne holds the mirror
And you want to travel with her
And you want to travel blind
And you know that you can trust her
For she's touched your perfect body with her mind.

8:08 pm - Oi! (like toy without the 't')
I'm coming back to Seattle on Thurs. I thought I'd be here longer, but being here is the furthest thing from restful. The work here pays shit, although picking blueberries and harvesting cedar tips are cool jobs. I've seen enough of my dad - heard more than enough too, he never stops talking except to sleep, and it's always very dogmatic bible stuff. I love him alot, I just find being around him very full on.
Would anybody like to have me as a house guest for a few days? :~)
